Insensitivity

He's usually not the kind of guy to put me down, but I guess he did it unknowingly this time. I wore my favorite local arena football team jersey to class last night. Hubs mentioned that now I'd have a conversation starter and I said "Yep, I'm going to tell my classmates that I'm a cheerleader for the team." Hubs replies "Yeah, you could be...(long pause)....on maternity leave." A-hole! I think he seriously thought he was giving me a compliment!
