Corny

It was a dark and stormy night...ok...it was just a drizzle but it was indeed dark. It was after 9pm. I was glancing woefully over at my Free large movie popcorn coupon which would expire come Friday. When I mentioned craving movie theater popcorn with extra salt, sweet ol' hubby of mine logged off of his extremely popular role-playing game and said he'd go retrieve me some! I did promise something about some nookie later, so either I've been holding out on him something awful (which I swear I haven't) or he just wanted to do something sweet. I think maybe a little Christmas spirit snuck inside him! Off to enjoy the popcorn while I sit next to the man I love.

The Walker Incident

It's hard to watch someone you love become less and less independent. Today I watched my Grandmother reduced to tears because one of her so-called "friends" teased her about having to use a walker. My Grandma already uses a cane and is resistant to having to change to a walker. This "friend" took my Grandma to the drugstore with her prescription for a walker and did nothing but embarrass and tease her in front of the clerk, even pretending to shuffle clumsily down the aisle while trying out one of the walkers herself. My Grandma was in tears as she told me about the incident. I told her that anyone who would do such a thing is not a true friend. I watched a grown woman cry today and her ridiculous excuse for a friend should be ashamed of herself.
